The APOLLO VALVES 70-148-C4 is a 2-inch NPT bronze ball valve engineered for reliable full-port shutoff in commercial and industrial plumbing, HVAC, and process piping systems. The valve features a chrome-plated brass ball and a blowout-proof stem for long-term operational safety. It carries a cold working pressure rating of 600 psig WOG and a saturated steam rating of 150 psig, making it suitable for a wide range of fluid control applications. A zinc-plated steel lever handle with a securely attached vinyl grip allows for quick quarter-turn operation. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this valve.
This ball valve is well suited for residential and commercial installations where a dependable, easy-to-operate shutoff is required. Typical applications include main water service shutoffs, branch isolation in hydronic heating systems, compressed air lines, and general-purpose water and steam distribution piping. The non-locking lever handle allows rapid manual shutoff without additional tools, which is advantageous in maintenance and emergency scenarios. The 2-inch NPT threaded end connections make it compatible with standard iron or copper pipe systems using threaded adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install bronze ball valve for 2-inch NPT threaded piping systems in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B31 piping standards. Shut off the system and relieve all line pressure before removing or installing the valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to NPT threads per standard practice, and avoid over-tightening, which can damage the valve body or threads. Confirm flow direction and pressure ratings are within the system design parameters before returning the line to service.
