The Apollo 77CLF24801A is a 2-piece, full port ball valve in the 77CLF-A series, designed for plumbing and mechanical piping systems where lead-free bronze construction is required. It features a 2 inch nominal solder end connection, a chrome plated brass ball with 316 stainless steel stem trim, and RPTFE softgoods throughout. Rated at 600 psi CWP and up to 450 degrees F, this valve handles demanding water service applications. The lever-operated actuator provides quick quarter-turn shutoff. Domestic manufacture makes it suitable for projects with Buy American or lead-free compliance requirements. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers on both new construction and retrofit work.
The 77CLF24801A is suited for residential and commercial water distribution systems where a reliable, full port shutoff is needed at a 2 inch solder connection. The full port design minimizes pressure drop across the valve, making it appropriate for main line shutoff, branch isolation, and equipment service valves. Solder end construction is common in copper piping systems throughout HVAC hydronic loops, domestic water mains, and mechanical room piping. The lever handle gives immediate visual confirmation of open or closed position. This valve is manufactured domestically and carries a 5-year warranty.
Designed for 2 inch nominal copper pipe solder-end connections in water service applications. Compatible with systems requiring lead-free bronze body ball valves rated for cold water pressure service. Verify system pressure, temperature, and media compatibility prior to installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IAPMO or IPC standards. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line completely before soldering or servicing. Allow the valve body to cool fully before operating the valve after soldering, as excessive heat during installation can damage the RPTFE seat and softgoods. Ensure flow direction and valve orientation comply with system design requirements.
