Grade 43 chain is a high-strength carbon steel chain engineered for load-securing, towing, and rigging applications where a higher working load limit is required than Grade 30 proof coil. The shot peened surface treatment improves fatigue resistance and provides a uniform finish. At a working load limit of 5,400 pounds and a pail weight of 63.2 pounds, this chain is suited for contractors, riggers, and trade professionals who need a ready-to-deploy bulk chain supply on the job site.
Grade 43 high test chain sees regular use in load binders, tow chains, logging, and general industrial tie-down applications. The 40-foot pail format is practical for job sites where chain is measured and cut to length or deployed in full runs. The 3/8-inch link size is a common working size compatible with standard Grade 43 hooks, shackles, and load binders rated for that link diameter. This chain is not rated for overhead lifting unless specifically certified for that purpose.
