The APEX MF-50 is a steel universal joint designed to transmit rotational force between two shafts that are not in a straight line. With a 1/2-inch male connection on one end and a 1/2-inch female connection on the other, this joint accommodates misaligned drive shafts in tool, drive, and mechanical assemblies. The overall assembled length is 2-11/16 inches. Built to SAE standards, the MF-50 is suited for use in shops, manufacturing environments, and field service applications. Licensed mechanics, machinists, and maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This universal joint is appropriate for use in hand-tool drive applications, socket extension setups, and light mechanical drive assemblies where a rigid inline connection is not possible. The 30-degree maximum operating angle gives it enough flex to handle typical shaft misalignment encountered in equipment service and assembly work. It is sold individually as a direct replacement or supplementary drive component in tool kits and mechanical rigs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or add-on universal joint for 1/2-inch drive tool and mechanical shaft assemblies requiring flexible angle transmission.
Installation is typically performed by mechanics or maintenance technicians using standard 1/2-inch drive tooling. Ensure the mating shaft and socket connections are fully seated before applying rotational load. Do not exceed the 30-degree maximum operating angle during use, as over-angulation can accelerate wear or cause joint failure. Inspect the joint periodically for play, wear, or corrosion and replace as needed.
