The APEX MB-1210 is a deep-well, 6-point hex drive impact socket designed for use with 1/4 inch drive impact wrenches and ratchets. The socket measures 5/16 inch across and features an overall length of 1.75 inches, making it well-suited for fasteners that require extra depth clearance. Constructed from alloy steel, it is built to handle the repeated shock loads generated by pneumatic and cordless impact tools. A spring-loaded or hollow cylinder magnet inside the socket body retains the bolt or stud as the nut is run down, keeping the fastener seated firmly during installation and removal.
This socket fits common applications in mechanical assembly, automotive service, equipment maintenance, and general trade work where a 1/4 inch drive tool is the right size for the job. The deep-well design accommodates longer fasteners, studs, and bolts that extend beyond a standard-depth socket. The magnetic retention feature is particularly useful in confined spaces where dropping a fastener creates a real problem. It is used by mechanics, millwrights, electricians, and maintenance technicians working with SAE-standard hex fasteners on light-duty to medium-duty assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement deep-well impact socket compatible with 1/4 inch drive impact wrenches, ratchets, and extension bars using SAE hex fastener sizing.
Install and remove this socket by hand before applying tool torque to confirm proper seating on the fastener. Always power down or disconnect the impact tool before changing sockets. Inspect the socket for cracks or deformation before each use, as impact tools place high cyclic stress on socket bodies. Do not use impact sockets on hand-ratchet-only drive tools where the drive mechanism is not rated for shock loads.
