The APEX FE200D is a 200-foot fiberglass measuring tape designed for professionals who need accurate linear measurement in demanding field conditions. The fiberglass blade resists moisture and chemical exposure, making it well suited for outdoor layout work, site surveys, and utility installations where a steel blade would corrode or become difficult to handle. The C2 blade style provides a flat, consistent profile across the full 200-foot length. Graduated in SAE (inch/foot) increments, the tape is read in the same units used across standard trade work in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and civil construction. The blade is 0.5 inches wide, giving it enough rigidity and legibility for solo use over long spans.
This tape is commonly used by contractors, surveyors, electricians, and plumbers for long-run layout tasks such as establishing setbacks, running conduit routes, plotting trench lines, and marking out equipment pad locations. The 200-foot capacity covers the majority of residential and light commercial layout applications in a single pull. The four-arm reel frame provides stable winding and a secure grip during retrieval.
Designed as a general-purpose fiberglass long tape for trade and construction layout applications requiring SAE measurement in 200-foot increments.
Fiberglass measuring tapes are not load-bearing devices and should not be used as tie-off or support lines. Lay the tape flat on the ground or surface being measured to avoid sag-induced reading errors over long spans. Retrieve the blade evenly using the reel handle to prevent kinking or twisting of the fiberglass material. Inspect the blade periodically for fraying or legibility loss, particularly near the zero end where wear is most common.
