The APEX 84836 is a 3/4 inch drive, 6-point impact socket designed for professional use in demanding fastener removal and installation applications. Constructed from chrome molybdenum alloy steel, it delivers the torsional strength needed to handle high-torque impact tool output without cracking or deforming. The manganese phosphate coating provides corrosion resistance for tools exposed to shop environments and outdoor service conditions. Laser-etched markings combined with a secondary hard-stamped size designation keep the socket identifiable even after heavy use. Off-corner loading geometry engages the flat of the fastener rather than the corner, reducing the risk of rounding fastener heads under load.
This socket is suited for automotive, heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, and industrial assembly work where a 3/4 inch drive impact wrench or breaker bar is standard. The 6-point design is preferred when working with hex fasteners that require maximum torque transfer or when fastener condition is compromised. It is sold individually, making it practical for replacing a single socket in an existing set or supplementing a specific drive size.
Designed as a 3/4 inch drive impact socket for use with 3/4 inch drive impact wrenches, breaker bars, and torque multipliers.
Installation is performed by licensed mechanics, equipment technicians, or qualified tradespeople using a compatible 3/4 inch drive impact wrench or hand tool. Verify that the socket is fully seated on the drive anvil and fastener before applying torque. Inspect the socket for cracks or deformation before each use and remove from service if damage is found. Do not use impact sockets with standard hand-drive ratchets not rated for impact torque.
