The APEX 81649 is a standard-pattern flare nut wrench sized 19MM x 21MM, built for loosening and tightening hex nuts in confined plumbing, fuel, and brake line applications. Machined from alloy steel and finished with a full polish chrome coating, this wrench delivers corrosion resistance and a clean surface that holds up to shop use. At 8.858 inches in length and 0.62 pounds, it is sized for one-handed use in tight service bays or mechanical spaces. Each wrench carries two sizes, reducing the number of individual tools needed on the job.
This wrench is suited for service work on fuel lines, brake lines, refrigerant lines, and hydraulic fittings where a standard open-end wrench cannot seat properly around the tubing. The flare nut opening grips the hex on multiple flats, reducing the risk of rounding soft fittings. Licensed plumbers, automotive technicians, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics will find it useful wherever threaded tube fittings are present. It is sold individually.
Designed for use on 19MM and 21MM hex flare nuts on tubing assemblies including fuel lines, brake lines, refrigerant lines, and hydraulic connections where tubing prevents a standard open-end wrench from seating.
Depressurize or shut off fluid flow in any line before loosening fittings. Slide the flare nut wrench over the tubing and fully seat it on the hex before applying torque to avoid rounding. Follow applicable codes — IPC, IFGC, or manufacturer torque guidance — when reconnecting fuel, refrigerant, or hydraulic fittings. Inspect fittings for damage or corrosion before reinstallation.
