The APEX 03665NN is a 10-inch flat file designed for material removal, deburring, and surface finishing on metal workpieces. It features a bastard cut grade, which provides a medium-aggressive tooth pattern suited for fast stock removal before finishing with a finer cut. The double cut on the flat sides accelerates material removal, while the single cut on the edges allows work in tight corners and against shoulders without marring adjacent surfaces. At 0.155 inches thick and 0.9 inches wide, the file maintains rigidity across the full working length. No handle is included. The file is hard stamped for clear identification in the shop or field.
This flat file is used in metal fabrication, plumbing rough-in, HVAC sheet metal work, electrical conduit fitting, and general trade maintenance. The bastard cut grade suits initial shaping and burr removal on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar metals. It is a standard tool for licensed tradespeople working on pipe ends, conduit edges, brackets, and other ferrous components where precise material removal is needed before assembly or inspection.
Designed as a standard 10-inch flat bastard file suitable for use with most commercial file handles sold separately.
This file is used by hand without power — no electrical shutoff is required before use. Secure the workpiece in a vise before filing to maintain control and achieve consistent strokes. Do not apply files to rotating workpieces. A file handle, sold separately, is recommended to prevent injury during use.
