The APC AR3340W is a 42U server rack enclosure from the NetShelter SX line, designed to house and protect network and data center equipment in professional IT environments. Standing at 42U of usable rack space with a 750mm wide footprint, this cabinet provides structured cable management and physical security for servers, patch panels, switches, and other rack-mounted devices. IT professionals and data center technicians rely on this cabinet for organized, accessible equipment deployment in both new builds and retrofit installations.
The AR3340W is suited for enterprise data centers, server rooms, network closets, and edge computing deployments in commercial and institutional settings. Its 42U capacity accommodates a full complement of rack-mounted equipment, making it appropriate for high-density server builds as well as mixed networking and compute configurations. Professional IT installers, low-voltage contractors, and data center technicians are the primary trades working with this enclosure.
Designed as a standard 42U rack enclosure compatible with EIA-310 rack-mount equipment, including servers, network switches, patch panels, and power distribution units.
Installation should be performed by qualified IT infrastructure technicians or low-voltage contractors familiar with data center rack deployment practices. The cabinet should be positioned on a level surface and secured according to seismic or structural requirements where applicable. All rack-mounted equipment should be powered down and disconnected before being seated or removed from the enclosure. Follow BICSI and local building codes for proper cable management and equipment grounding.
