Product Description

The AO SMITH 100223775 is a PVC common vent kit designed for use with Cyclone MXi condensing water heaters. Supplied by DuraVent, this kit enables two Cyclone MXi units to share a single direct vent system through a side wall horizontal termination. The kit includes a backflow preventer along with intake and exhaust adapters. Piping and wall termination components are field supplied. Each wall penetration requires a 7-inch hole through the structure. The kit is UL listed and supports a maximum equivalent vent run of 50 feet of straight pipe including elbows.

This common vent kit is intended for residential and light commercial installations where two Cyclone MXi water heaters are installed in close proximity and a shared horizontal venting configuration is preferred. The kit is approved for side wall horizontal vent applications only and is limited to direct vent configurations. One kit is required per water heater. Installers must select the appropriate material, PVC or polypropylene, based on model input size requirements.
