The AO SMITH 100110123 is a flanged Incoloy heating element designed for commercial electric water heaters operating at 480/277 volts and 15 kilowatts (KW). The element features a nickel-alloy Incoloy sheath, which resists corrosion and scaling in demanding water conditions. Built with forged steel flanges and supplied with a gasket, this is a direct replacement part for commercial water heating systems. Medium watt density construction reduces the surface temperature of the element, extending service life in high-demand applications. Licensed commercial water heater technicians and qualified plumbers handle installation of this type of component.
This element is intended for commercial water heater applications where high voltage and high kilowatt output are required. It is compatible with systems using 2.5-inch bolt-circle round and square flanges. The 100110123 is used with AO SMITH DSE Series, DVE/DHE Series, CMC Series, and SU Series commercial electric water heaters. The maximum immersion length (A dimension) is 22 inches, making it suited to standard commercial tank configurations requiring a large-capacity flanged element.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for AO SMITH commercial electric water heaters in the DSE Series, DVE/DHE Series, CMC Series, and SU Series. Fits tanks equipped with 2.5-inch bolt-circle round or square flange element openings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water heater technician familiar with commercial high-voltage electric equipment. Always shut off electrical power at the breaker and close the water supply valve before removing the old element. Drain the tank to below the element flange before unbolting to avoid water discharge. Confirm the replacement gasket is properly seated before torquing flange bolts and restoring power.
