The ANVIL 4351011240 is a standard manual ball valve engineered for 2-1/2 inch pipe applications. The body and finish are 316 stainless steel, delivering strong corrosion resistance in demanding fluid-handling systems. A locking lever handle provides positive shutoff and helps prevent accidental actuation in high-traffic or regulated environments. The seat is reinforced PTFE, which holds up well against a wide range of media and temperatures. Flanged end connections on both sides allow the valve to bolt directly into a flanged piping system without additional fittings. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers of this valve type.
This valve is suited for commercial and industrial piping systems where a manually operated, standard-port ball valve with flanged connections is required. Standard port sizing restricts flow slightly compared to full-port designs, which is acceptable in systems where line velocity and pressure drop calculations account for that reduction. The 316 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive media, marine environments, food-processing adjacent applications, and chemical service where iron or brass valves would be unsuitable. The locking lever feature is particularly relevant in facilities requiring lockout-tagout compliance or tamper resistance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct installation valve for 2-1/2 inch flanged piping systems requiring a standard-port stainless steel ball valve.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical codes such as the IPC or ASME B31.1/B31.3. Isolate and depressurize the line completely before removing any existing valve or making flanged connections. Verify flange face type, bolt pattern, and gasket material compatibility with the existing piping system before torquing fasteners. Do not use the valve handle as a lever for alignment during installation.
