The ANVIL 0300050408 is a cast iron threaded reducing tee fitting designed for use in piping systems requiring a branch connection with a reduced outlet. Built to Class 125 standards, this black-finish fitting accepts female pipe thread (FPT) connections on all three ports and follows NPT thread standards. It meets ASME B1.20.1 and ASME B16.3 dimensional requirements, conforms to ASTM A-197 malleable iron specifications, and carries FM Approval along with cULus Listing. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in gas and liquid distribution systems where a 2-inch run must connect to a 3/4-inch branch takeoff.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial piping applications involving black iron pipe systems. Typical uses include natural gas distribution, fire protection piping, and general-purpose liquid service within rated pressure limits. The 2 x 3/4 x 2 inch configuration accommodates a full-size 2-inch run with a reduced 3/4-inch branch outlet, making it a standard configuration in supply and distribution manifold work. The Class 125 pressure rating supports a broad range of low-to-medium pressure service conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded reducing tee for use with standard black iron pipe systems using NPT threading in Class 125 service applications.
Installation of threaded cast iron fittings should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local mechanical and plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before disassembling or installing any fittings. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads prior to assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus the appropriate number of turns for the pipe size per standard practice. Do not exceed the fitting pressure rating or use this fitting in service conditions outside those permitted by the applicable standards.
