The ANSELL 59-801-9 is a cut and puncture-resistant protective sleeve designed to guard forearms and lower arms during industrial and trade operations involving sharp, abrasive, or rough-edged materials. Constructed from two-ply nylon in a universal fit, the sleeve meets ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A3 and ANSI/ISEA Abrasion Resistance Level 3, making it suitable for demanding hand-feeding and parts-handling tasks. Elastic openings at both ends secure the sleeve in place during active use. The reversible, washable design supports repeated use across a production shift or service day.
This sleeve is used in light manufacturing, metal fabrication, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing rough-in with sharp pipe edges, and general industrial assembly. Typical applications include feeding sheet metal through press equipment, handling stamped or structural parts with rough edges, primary cutting operations, and seizing structural components. The universal size accommodates most adult arm profiles without a separate sizing step, reducing stocking complexity for safety and tool cribs.
Designed for use in press feeding, metal panel and sheet handling, primary cutting, parts removal, and structural seizing operations where forearm protection from cut, puncture, abrasion, and snag hazards is required.
Slip the sleeve over the forearm before beginning any operation involving sharp, rough, or stamped metal components. Inspect the sleeve before each use for worn-through fabric, tears, or compromised elastic at the cuff openings, and remove from service if any structural damage is found. Follow the facility safety plan and applicable ANSI/ISEA PPE selection guidelines when pairing with compatible cut-resistant gloves. Launder per site PPE protocols and allow to fully dry before reuse.
