The ANSELL 48706100 is a cut and puncture resistant work glove rated at ANSI/ISEA Cut Resistance Level A3 and Abrasion Resistance Level 5. Built on a multi-fiber shell that combines INTERCEPT Technology Yarn, HPPE blend, fiberglass, nylon, polyester, and spandex, the glove delivers meaningful hand protection without sacrificing dexterity. A nitrile coating across the palm and fingertips provides grip on both dry and lightly oily surfaces. The elasticated wrist cuff keeps the glove seated during active use. At 10.25 inches overall length, this XL pair fits large hands on the job. Plumbers, pipefitters, electricians, and HVAC technicians handling sheet metal, fittings, conduit, or sharp-edged components are the primary users.
These gloves are suited for general trade and light industrial work where cut, puncture, and abrasion hazards are present. Typical applications include handling sheet metal ductwork, copper and steel pipe, conduit, wire bundles, and hardware components. The rough grip surface on the nitrile coating helps maintain control of parts in dry or slightly oily conditions. Size XL fits most large male and female hands, and the unisex sizing makes them practical for mixed crews. They are sold as a single pair and are intended for single-trade or single-technician use.
Designed as a general-purpose cut and puncture resistant work glove for trade professionals. Compatible with tasks requiring ANSI/ISEA A3 cut protection in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and light industrial service work.
Inspect gloves before each use for tears, coating separation, or compromised shell integrity. Gloves rated for cut and puncture resistance are not a substitute for proper tool guarding or lockout/tagout procedures required by applicable safety codes. Replace gloves when the nitrile coating shows significant wear or when the shell shows visible damage. These gloves are not rated as a blood-borne pathogen barrier and are not FDA approved for medical use.
