The ANSELL 284971 is a supported nitrile chemical resistant glove in the Series 58-330 line, designed for workers handling animal fats, fuels, grease, oils, and select solvents. The glove features a smooth nitrile coating over a foam-lined nitrile shell with a gauntlet cuff for extended wrist and forearm protection. At 12 inches overall length and a thickness under 15 mil, it offers a balance of dexterity and chemical barrier performance. The glove carries an ANSI/ISEA Abrasion Resistance Level 5 rating and meets FDA approval requirements. It is sized for both men and women at numeric size 8 (Medium).
This glove is suited for industrial and light maintenance applications where incidental contact with petroleum-based fluids, lubricants, animal fats, and mild solvents is a regular hazard. Typical use cases include HVAC equipment servicing, plumbing maintenance, pool chemical handling, and general mechanical work where hand protection from oils and greases is required. The gauntlet cuff style provides added coverage during overhead or deep-reach tasks. Sold individually, this glove is appropriate for both shop and field use across multiple trade disciplines.
Designed as a general-purpose supported nitrile glove suitable for trade and industrial environments where chemical splash and abrasion resistance are required.
Inspect gloves for tears, pinholes, or degradation before each use. For tasks involving chemical immersion rather than splash exposure, verify the glove material is rated for prolonged contact with the specific chemical present on the job. Dispose of gloves that show signs of swelling, discoloration, or structural compromise after chemical contact. Follow applicable site safety and PPE protocols when handling fuels or solvents.
