The ANSELL 206492 is a flame resistant work glove designed for electricians and industrial technicians who work in or near arc flash hazard zones. Built on the Series 80-813 platform, the glove features a Kevlar lining with a neoprene palm coating, delivering a maximum arc flash protection rating of 12 cal per square centimeter. The knit cuff design provides a snug, secure fit during live electrical work or maintenance tasks. Static dissipative construction helps reduce electrostatic discharge risk. The ergonomic profile and soft foam coating reduce hand fatigue during extended wear. Sold as a pair in size X-Large.
This glove is suited for residential and commercial electrical work where NFPA 70E arc flash PPE requirements apply. Typical applications include switchgear maintenance, panel work, and other energized electrical tasks requiring Category-rated hand protection. The medium fabric weight and palm-only coating keep dexterity reasonable for tasks that require grip and hand control. Licensed electricians performing energized work under NFPA 70E procedures are the primary installers and users of this glove.
Designed for use as arc flash PPE in compliance with NFPA 70E, ANSI S11.11, and CGSB 155.20-2000 standards. Sized X-Large, corresponding to men's numeric size 10.
Flame resistant and arc flash rated gloves are worn PPE, not installed components. Licensed electricians should inspect gloves before each use for cuts, abrasions, or coating degradation that could compromise protection.
