The ANDERSON METALS CORP 757020-0404 is a 90-degree brass barb insert elbow designed to connect 1/4-inch hose ID tubing to a 1/4-inch male pipe thread (MPT) port. This fitting transitions flexible hose to a threaded connection at a right angle, making it useful in tight or confined plumbing and fluid-transfer assemblies. Constructed from brass, it is lead-free compliant and meets the requirements of Public Law 111-380, making it suitable for potable water and other applications where lead-free fittings are required. Licensed plumbers and experienced trade technicians are the primary installers.
This fitting is commonly used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems, HVAC condensate lines, water treatment equipment, and fluid-handling assemblies where a barbed hose connection must transition to a threaded port at a 90-degree angle. The 1/4-inch barb end accepts standard flexible tubing with a 1/4-inch inside diameter, and the MPT end threads directly into a female pipe thread port. Its compact form factor makes it well suited for installations with limited bend radius or tight enclosures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/4-inch ID flexible hose and 1/4-inch female NPT threaded ports in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-transfer applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off the water supply or fluid source and relieve system pressure before removing or installing fittings. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the MPT threads per IPC guidelines before threading into the female port. Secure the barb end with an appropriate hose clamp to prevent pull-out under pressure cycling.
