The ANDERSON METALS CORP 756116-04 is a 1/4-inch brass street elbow designed for directional changes in threaded pipe systems. One end accepts a male threaded connection while the other end is female threaded, allowing the fitting to thread directly into another fitting without a nipple. Constructed from lead-free brass in compliance with Public Law 111-380, this elbow meets current potable water safety standards. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in water supply, gas, and compressed air lines where a 90-degree turn is required in tight spaces.
This street elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications. Its 1/4-inch size is commonly found in branch lines, fixture supply connections, and instrumentation plumbing where space constraints make a standard elbow and separate nipple impractical. The lead-free brass construction makes it appropriate for use in potable water systems subject to state and federal lead-content regulations. It ships in bulk packaging with a package quantity of 10 units per pack.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 1/4-inch NPT threaded pipe and fittings in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before removing any existing fittings. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly, and tighten to hand-snug before final tightening with a wrench. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as the material is subject to cracking under excessive torque.
