The ANDERSON METALS CORP 750069-0808 is a brass 90 degree elbow fitting designed to transition a 1/2 inch compression connection to a 1/2 inch male pipe thread (MPT) connection. It is used to change flow direction in water supply and distribution lines while joining compression tubing to a threaded pipe or valve body. The fitting is lead free compliant and meets Public Law 111-380, making it suitable for potable water installations. Plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a right-angle directional change is required at a compression-to-thread junction.
This elbow is suited for potable water supply lines, fixture connections, and similar plumbing applications where compression tubing must connect to a male-threaded port at a 90 degree angle. The compression end accepts standard 1/2 inch OD tubing, and the male pipe thread end connects to a female-threaded fitting, valve, or outlet. Its lead free brass construction makes it appropriate for drinking water systems subject to lead content regulations. It is sold in bulk pack quantities of 5 units per package.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for residential and light commercial plumbing systems requiring a 1/2 inch compression to 1/2 inch male pipe thread 90 degree connection in potable water lines.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before beginning work. The compression end requires proper tubing cut, deburring, and seating of the compression ring before tightening the nut — do not overtighten. Thread connections should be made in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and local jurisdiction requirements, using an appropriate thread sealant approved for potable water service.
