The ANDERSON METALS CORP 710068-0806 is a compression-to-male-pipe-thread connector used to join copper or compatible tubing to a threaded male pipe fitting in plumbing supply and distribution systems. The inlet accepts 1/2 inch compression tubing and the outlet is a 3/8 inch male pipe thread (MPT), making it a reliable transition fitting in tight or mixed-connection installations. This fitting is lead free compliant and meets the requirements of Public Law 111-380, satisfying health-based lead content standards for potable water systems. Licensed plumbers and experienced service techs install this type of fitting in residential and light commercial applications.
This connector is suited for water supply lines, fixture connections, and retrofit installations where compression tubing must transition to a threaded pipe connection. The 1/2 inch compression inlet accommodates standard soft copper or compatible tubing, while the 3/8 inch MPT outlet threads directly into valves, stops, or other threaded fittings. Sold in a package of 10, the connector is carded for easy identification and jobsite inventory management.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for residential and light commercial plumbing systems requiring a 1/2 inch compression to 3/8 inch male pipe thread transition.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified trades person. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning work. Use an appropriate compression sleeve and nut when making the compression connection, and hand-tighten the MPT threads with pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape before applying final torque with a wrench. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements for potable water fittings.
