The ANDERSON METALS CORP 710060-08 is a 1/2 inch brass compression sleeve sold in a 2-pack. Compression sleeves, also called ferrules, create a leak-tight seal when a compression fitting is tightened around tubing. This sleeve fits between the compression nut and the fitting body, deforming slightly under torque to grip and seal the tube. It is a standard component in water supply, plumbing distribution, and light HVAC hydronic lines. The 710060-08 is lead free compliant and meets the requirements of Public Law 111-380, making it suitable for potable water installations where lead-free materials are required by code.
This compression sleeve is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications wherever a compression-style tube connection is required. Typical installations include shutoff valve connections, supply line fittings, angle stops, and saddle valve work on 1/2 inch copper or compatible tubing. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers, though the fitting type is also common in HVAC hydronic and refrigeration line service. The 2-pack quantity suits single repair calls or paired connection work.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or service sleeve for 1/2 inch compression fittings used in residential and light commercial potable water and plumbing systems.
Compression sleeves are installed by licensed plumbers following IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before disassembling any compression fitting. Slide the sleeve onto the tubing before threading on the compression nut — do not apply sealant or tape to the sleeve itself. Overtightening compression fittings can crack the sleeve or damage the tubing, so follow the fitting manufacturer's assembly guidance.
