The ANDERSON METALS CORP 38300-1225 is a red brass pipe nipple designed for use in pressurized water supply and distribution systems. Measuring 3/4 inch in diameter by 2.5 inches in length, this close-pattern nipple provides a short, rigid threaded connection between fittings, valves, and fixtures. It is lead free compliant and meets the requirements of Public Law 111-380, making it suitable for potable water installations where lead content restrictions apply. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of nipple in both new construction and retrofit work across residential and light commercial applications.
This nipple is used in domestic water supply lines, manifold assemblies, valve stations, and fixture connections where a compact threaded section is needed. Its red brass construction offers corrosion resistance in water systems that may carry treated or mildly aggressive water. The 3/4 inch thread size is common in main branch lines, shut-off valve installations, and boiler trim piping. It ships in bulk packaging with a package quantity of 5 units per pack.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 3/4 inch NPT threaded plumbing systems in residential and light commercial potable water, hydronic, and general water distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable local plumbing code and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before making up the joint. Do not over-torque brass fittings, as red brass is softer than ferrous pipe and threads can be damaged by excessive force.
