Red brass is a high-copper alloy that resists dezincification and corrosion, making this nipple suitable for potable water, hydronic heating, and general plumbing service. The fitting is lead free compliant and meets California AB-1953 and Vermont SB-152 legislation requirements, qualifying it for use in potable water systems in states with strict lead content mandates. Installation Notes
