The ANDERSON METALS 757020-0806 is a lead-free brass barbed hose elbow fitting designed to connect flexible hose to a threaded pipe port at a 90-degree angle. One end is a 3/8 inch male NPT threaded connection; the other is a hose barb sized for 1/2 inch inside diameter hose. The lead-free brass construction meets current potable-water and plumbing code requirements. This fitting is installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and irrigation professionals wherever a directional change is needed between a rigid threaded port and a flexible hose run.
This elbow fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating systems, pool and spa equipment, and HVAC condensate or water-supply lines. The NPT thread form is compatible with standard pipe fittings throughout North American plumbing systems. The barbed end retains flexible hose securely, typically with a clamp, and the elbow geometry reduces strain on the hose at the connection point.
Designed as a standard NPT barbed elbow replacement or new-installation fitting for any system using 3/8 inch NPT threaded ports and 1/2 inch inside diameter flexible hose.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician following applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC or IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male NPT threads before hand-tightening and then wrench-tightening to avoid cross-threading. Secure the hose to the barb with an appropriately rated hose clamp to prevent separation under system pressure.
