The ANDERSON METALS 757002-0608 is a lead-free brass barbed hose fitting configured as a female connector. It transitions between a 1/2 inches female NPT threaded port and a 3/8 inches inside diameter hose barb, creating a secure, leak-resistant connection in fluid-handling systems. The lead-free brass construction meets modern plumbing material standards and holds up well in potable water, HVAC hydronic, and light industrial fluid applications. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting where a rigid threaded pipe or valve needs to connect to flexible hose. The barbed end grips the hose interior when a clamp is applied, and the female NPT end threads onto a male-threaded fitting or port.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic lines, pool and spa equipment connections, and general fluid transfer applications where a threaded-to-barb transition is needed. The 1/2 inches NPT thread is a common size found on valves, pumps, manifolds, and equipment ports, while the 3/8 inches hose barb accommodates standard flexible tubing of that interior diameter. It is a single-piece unit requiring no additional components beyond a hose clamp for the barbed side.
Designed as a standard female connector fitting for use with 3/8 inches inside diameter flexible hose and any 1/2 inches male NPT threaded port or fitting in plumbing, HVAC, pool, and fluid transfer applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off the water supply or drain the system before installation. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male NPT threads before threading on the female end to ensure a leak-free joint. Secure the hose to the barbed end with an appropriately rated hose clamp, and inspect for leaks after system pressure is restored.
