The ANDERSON METALS 757002-0506 is a lead-free brass barbed hose fitting configured as a female connector. It joins a 3/8 inch female NPT threaded port to a 5/16 inch inside-diameter hose barb, creating a secure, leak-resistant transition between threaded pipe and flexible hose. The lead-free brass construction meets modern potable-water compliance requirements, making this fitting appropriate for plumbing and fluid-handling systems where material certification matters. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting in low-pressure water, coolant, and transfer lines.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a threaded female NPT connection must transition to a barbed hose connection. Typical uses include condensate drain lines, equipment cooling loops, water supply connections, and general fluid-transfer assemblies. The hose barb end accepts 5/16 inch ID flexible hose and is designed to be secured with a clamp for a reliable, vibration-resistant joint. The 3/8 inch NPT female thread end connects directly to male-threaded pipe, nipples, or equipment ports.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install fitting for systems requiring a 3/8 inch female NPT to 5/16 inch ID hose barb transition in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-handling assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IAPMO or IPC standards. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any fittings. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male NPT threads before making up the threaded connection, and hand-tighten before finishing with a wrench. Secure the hose barb end with an appropriately sized hose clamp to prevent pullout under pressure.
