The ANDERSON METALS 756228-0806 is a lead-free brass 90-degree street elbow designed for threaded pipe systems using NPT connections. It accepts a 1/2-inch male NPT on one end and a 3/8-inch female NPT on the other, allowing a direction change and size transition in a single fitting. Rated to 1,000 psi, this fitting is built for demanding service in plumbing, gas, and fluid systems. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and meets lead-free requirements for potable water applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in both new construction and retrofit work.
This street elbow is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a 90-degree turn and a pipe size reduction are needed at the same connection point. Approved applications include potable water lines, grease systems, fuel lines, and LP and natural gas distribution. Its compact, one-piece threaded design eliminates the need for a separate coupling when changing direction, saving space in tight installations.
Designed for use with potable water, grease, fuel, LP gas, and natural gas systems requiring NPT threaded connections at 1/2-inch to 3/8-inch pipe size transitions.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and IFGC or IPC requirements. Shut off the water or gas supply and relieve system pressure before making or breaking any threaded connection. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten; use a pipe wrench to achieve a firm, leak-free connection without stressing the fitting body.
