The ANDERSON METALS 756216-12 is a 90-degree street elbow fitting machined from lead-free brass, designed for threaded pipe assemblies in plumbing, fuel, and gas distribution systems. It features a 3/4-inch NPT flanged connection and is rated to 1,000 psi, making it suitable for demanding service conditions. The street configuration means one end is male-threaded and the other is female-threaded, allowing direct connection to a female-threaded fitting or valve without a separate nipple. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting during new construction and service work on potable water, fuel, and gas lines.
This fitting is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications wherever a 90-degree directional change is required in a 3/4-inch threaded pipe run. Approved end-use applications include potable water supply, grease systems, fuels, LP gas, and natural gas distribution. The flanged connection provides a positive seat that aids leak-free assembly when joint compound or thread seal tape is applied per standard practice. Its compact street-elbow profile reduces the overall installed length compared to a standard elbow-plus-nipple combination.
Designed for use with potable water, grease, fuels, LP gas, and natural gas systems using 3/4-inch NPT threaded pipe. Suitable as a direct replacement or new-installation fitting in any 3/4-inch NPT threaded brass or iron pipe assembly requiring a 90-degree direction change.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code or International Fuel Gas Code as required by the service type. Shut off and depressurize the supply line completely before disassembling any existing threaded connection. Apply a listed thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly; do not over-tighten, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque. For gas service, verify all joints with an approved leak-detection solution after pressurizing the system.
