The ANDERSON METALS 756121-04 is a hex plug fitting used to close off the end of a threaded pipe or fitting in a piping system. It features a 1/4-18 male NPT thread and is rated for up to 1,000 psi working pressure. The lead-free construction makes it suitable for potable water applications as well as grease, fuel, LP gas, and natural gas service lines. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of plug during system assembly, testing, or maintenance to cap unused ports.
This hex plug is designed for use in residential and light commercial piping installations where a reliable, pressure-rated pipe cap is required. Typical applications include capping unused tee or cross outlets in water supply lines, fuel gas distribution systems, and lubricant or grease delivery lines. Its hex head design allows installation and removal with standard wrenches, making it practical for both permanent installation and service access points.
Rated for use with potable water, grease, fuels, LP gas, and natural gas systems. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for any 1/4-18 MNPT threaded port in residential or commercial piping applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC or IFGC code requirements for the service type. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before installing or removing any pipe plug. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before installation. Do not over-tighten; use a wrench on the hex head only and avoid pipe wrenches on the body.
