The ANDERSON METALS 756119-0602 is a brass reducing pipe coupling with female NPT threads on both ends, sized 3/8-18 on one side and 1/8-27 on the other. It is rated to 1,000 psi and machined from brass for corrosion resistance in a wide range of fluid and gas service applications. This coupling connects two female-threaded pipe runs of different sizes within a single inline fitting, making it a standard component in plumbing, HVAC, and gas distribution systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians use this fitting where a threaded reduction between two NPT lines is required.
This coupling is suited for both residential and light commercial installations. Approved media include potable water, grease, fuels, LP gas, and natural gas, making it versatile across plumbing rough-in, gas piping, and fuel delivery applications. The FNPT connection type allows direct thread engagement into standard NPT-threaded pipe, valves, or equipment ports without additional adapters in most configurations.

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or HVAC technicians in accordance with applicable local codes and IFGC or IPC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the supply line completely before threading or unthreading any fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the intended media before making up the joint. Do not overtighten NPT threads; hand-tight plus a standard number of turns with a pipe wrench is sufficient to seat the joint without cracking the fitting.
