The ANDERSON METALS 756110-0604 is a lead-free brass pipe bushing designed to reduce a 3/8-18 male NPT thread down to a 1/4-18 female NPT thread. This fitting type is a standard hex bushing used in piping assemblies where a threaded size reduction is required without adding significant length to the run. Rated to 1,000 psi maximum working pressure, it is built from lead-free brass, making it suitable for potable water service in addition to fuel gas, LP, and grease applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this bushing when adapting pipe or valve connections between mismatched thread sizes.
This bushing is appropriate for residential and light commercial piping systems where a 3/8-inch male NPT connection must transition to a 1/4-inch female NPT port. Common applications include gas appliance connections, hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, fuel line assemblies, and water distribution piping. Its lead-free brass construction satisfies requirements for potable water contact in jurisdictions that enforce lead-free standards. It is also compatible with LP and natural gas lines as well as grease service applications.
Rated for use with potable water, grease, fuels, and LP and natural gas piping systems. Designed as an OEM-style threaded reducer bushing for any system requiring a 3/8-18 male NPT to 1/4-18 female NPT transition.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician depending on the service application. Shut off supply pressure and depressurize the line before fitting removal or installation. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape appropriate to the service medium — confirm sealant compatibility with gas service before use on fuel lines. Verify local code compliance, including applicable sections of the IPC or IFGC, before installing on potable water or gas systems.
