The ANDERSON METALS 754075-0604 is a lead-free brass flared tube swivel connector designed for reducing applications in refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing tubing systems. It connects a 3/8 inch OD tube to a 1/4 inch OD tube using standard 45-degree flare fittings on both ends. The swivel design allows the fitting to rotate during installation, reducing torque stress on soft copper tubing and making it easier to achieve a leak-free seat without twisting the line. Constructed from lead-free brass, this connector meets current potable-water and refrigerant-line material standards. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics install this type of fitting in tubing runs where a size transition is required.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial applications where 45-degree flare fittings are specified, including copper refrigerant lines, fuel gas tubing, and potable-water supply connections. Use a calibrated flaring tool to produce a uniform 45-degree flare seat on each tube end before assembling the fitting; an improperly formed flare is the leading cause of leaks at this joint type. Use two wrenches when tightening to prevent tube rotation, and pressure-test the completed assembly before returning the system to service.
