The ANDERSON METALS 754046-0806 is a lead-free brass flared tube connector designed for use in plumbing and fluid distribution systems where a secure, leak-resistant transition is required between a flared tube and a female NPT-threaded port. The fitting connects a 1/2-inch OD tube with a 45-degree flare seat on one end to a 3/8-inch FNPT port on the other. It is rated for up to 750 psi working pressure in both static and dynamic service conditions. Constructed from lead-free brass, this connector meets material requirements for potable water applications and is well suited for professional installation by licensed plumbers and gas fitters.
This connector is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, refrigeration line sets, and gas distribution applications where a flare-to-female NPT transition is needed. The 45-degree flare seat is standard for tubing connections in water supply, natural gas, and LP gas systems. The female NPT end threads directly onto male-threaded valves, manifolds, or equipment ports. This fitting is typically used when connecting copper or brass tubing to threaded fixtures, valves, or appliances in tight-clearance installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/2-inch OD flared tubing and 3/8-inch FNPT-threaded ports in plumbing, gas, or refrigeration applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) as applicable. Shut off the water or gas supply and relieve system pressure completely before disassembling or installing fittings. Ensure the tube end is properly flared using the correct 45-degree flaring tool before seating against the fitting to prevent leaks. Do not overtighten the flare nut, as this can distort the flare seat and cause failure.
