The ANDERSON METALS -11020-1 is a brass pipe elbow designed to connect 3/16-inch SAE45 flare tubing to a 1/8-inch female NPT port. This 90-degree elbow serves as a directional fitting in low-pressure fluid and gas lines, allowing technicians to route tubing around obstacles or change flow direction without bending the line. Constructed from brass, it provides reliable corrosion resistance and a secure, leak-free seal when properly torqued to specification. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration service pros commonly install this type of fitting in tight spaces where straight connections are not practical.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving copper or compatible soft-metal tubing. Typical use cases include fuel supply lines, refrigerant accessory circuits, and instrument air lines where a transition from SAE45 flare to NPT threading is required. The FNPT end threads into a tapped port or NPT fitting, while the SAE45 end accepts a standard 45-degree flare nut. Sold in a package quantity of 5.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for systems using 3/16-inch SAE45 flare tubing transitioning to 1/8-inch female NPT ports in fluid or gas piping assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician familiar with flare and NPT fittings. Shut off and depressurize the system before disassembling or installing any fittings. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads only — never apply sealant to the SAE45 flare seating surface. Verify that the mating flare nut is properly formed to a 45-degree angle before tightening to avoid leaks.
