The AMTROL wx-203d is a 32-gallon diaphragm-style well pressure tank designed for residential and light commercial potable water systems. It maintains system pressure between pump cycles, reducing pump short-cycling and extending pump motor life. The tank ships with a Durabase stand for stable, upright installation. A factory-sealed air charge and a dedicated water chamber keep air and water permanently separated, preserving charge pressure over the service life of the tank. The Tuf-Kote interior and exterior coating resists corrosion in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure, the wx-203d is suited for high-demand residential well systems and light commercial applications.
The wx-203d is installed in residential well water systems where a pressure tank is required between the submersible or jet pump and the distribution plumbing. It is appropriate for new installations and direct replacements of comparably sized pre-charged well tanks. The included Durabase stand allows floor-mounted vertical installation without additional support hardware. Licensed plumbers and water system contractors handle typical installations in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC).
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial pre-charged diaphragm well pressure tanks of comparable size and connection specification.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local codes and the International Plumbing Code. Shut off the pump and relieve all system pressure before disconnecting any existing tank or fittings. Verify the pre-charge air pressure in the new tank matches the system cut-in pressure before placing the tank into service. Do not exceed the 150 psi maximum working pressure rating under any operating condition.
