Hot water heating systems contain dissolved air from the initial fill water and from any make-up water added over time. When this water is heated, the dissolved air is released and begins to circulate through the system. Left unmanaged, that circulating air causes noise, reduces heat transfer efficiency, and can lead to pump cavitation.
