The AMPROBE AMP-330 is a professional-grade digital clamp meter designed for licensed electricians and HVAC technicians working on high-voltage residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. The AMP-330 measures AC and DC voltage up to 1000 volts, DC current up to 1000 amps, and resistance up to 60,000 ohms, while also capturing capacitance, temperature, and microamp readings in a single instrument. Its True RMS measurement capability ensures accurate readings on non-sinusoidal waveforms common in variable-frequency drives and electronic load circuits. The 6000-count digital display provides the resolution needed for precise diagnostics on live circuits and control systems.
The AMP-330 is suited for service calls involving panel troubleshooting, motor circuits, HVAC control boards, and low-voltage wiring checks. The 0 to 20 mA range supports testing of 4-20 mA process loops common in building automation and HVAC controls. Temperature measurement via the included thermocouple probe covers a range of -40 to 500 degrees F, making it practical for both electrical and mechanical system diagnostics. The NCV non-contact voltage detection and phase rotation functions add workflow efficiency during panel and three-phase motor service work.
Designed as a general-purpose clamp meter for use on standard single-phase and three-phase electrical systems meeting IEC61010 and IEC61326 installation categories CAT III and CAT IV.
Installation and use of this meter on live circuits must be performed by a qualified electrician or licensed technician in accordance with NFPA 70E electrical safety work practices. Always verify the meter's CAT rating is appropriate for the circuit voltage and installation category before clamping onto live conductors. Do not exceed the rated 1000V input on any measurement terminal. Replace the AA battery only with power removed from the measurement circuit and the meter switched off.
