The AMPHENOL RF 031-71008-RFX is a BNC straight crimp plug designed for terminating 75-ohm coaxial cable in signal transmission applications. This connector accepts RG-59 and RG-62 cable types and provides a secure, low-profile crimp termination that resists pull-out and maintains consistent impedance across the connection. The BNC interface delivers a quarter-turn bayonet coupling that locks reliably in service. Licensed electricians, low-voltage technicians, and AV or CCTV installers use this connector when building or repairing coaxial cable assemblies in commercial and residential signal distribution systems.
This crimp plug is suited for CCTV camera wiring, video distribution panels, security system cabling, and broadcast or data signal runs where RG-59 or RG-62 coaxial cable is the specified medium. The straight-body configuration fits standard panel cutouts and bulkhead installations without requiring a right-angle adapter. It is sold individually and is appropriate for field termination work as well as bench assembly in shop environments.
Designed for use with RG-59 and RG-62 75-ohm coaxial cable in BNC-terminated signal distribution systems.
Installation is performed by low-voltage technicians or electricians familiar with coaxial cable termination practices. Proper crimp tooling sized for BNC connectors and the specific cable diameter is required to achieve a gas-tight, mechanically sound termination. De-energize any connected equipment before installing or removing coaxial connectors on active signal lines. Follow applicable low-voltage wiring codes and manufacturer cable-stripping dimensions to ensure correct center-conductor and dielectric exposure before crimping.
