The AMG SYSTEMS SFP-CW-1G-EX40-37 is a single-mode small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver rated for 1 Gbps data transmission over a 2-fiber single-mode cable plant. Operating at a 1370nm wavelength, this module supports extended-reach links up to 40 kilometers. It is designed for deployment in enterprise and carrier-grade network infrastructure where long-distance fiber connectivity is required. Network technicians and systems integrators install this transceiver into compatible SFP-slot switches, routers, and media converters to extend network segments beyond the reach of multimode or copper-based solutions.
This transceiver is suited for enterprise backbone installations, campus interconnects, and wide-area fiber runs where a 40km reach at 1 Gbps is the design requirement. The 1370nm wavelength places it in the coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) spectrum, making it appropriate for CWDM-based fiber infrastructure. It ships as a single unit and is classified under enterprise media converter accessories.
Designed as an SFP-slot transceiver for use in enterprise switches, routers, and media converters that accept standard SFP modules with single-mode fiber connectivity.
Installation is performed by qualified network technicians or low-voltage systems integrators. Power down or disable the host port before inserting or removing the SFP module to prevent electrostatic or hot-swap damage where not supported. Clean fiber end-faces with an appropriate fiber optic cleaning tool before mating the LC or applicable connector. Follow the host equipment manufacturer guidelines for SFP handling, bend-radius limits, and fiber patch cord specifications.
