A licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician should install this gauge in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing gauge or fitting the new one. Use an appropriate thread sealant rated for the media and pressure range on the NPT threads. Do not overtighten the gauge body by gripping the dial case; always apply wrench force to the hex fitting only.
