It features a 6-inch dial face with a 0 to 60 psi range and delivers 0.5% of scale accuracy, making it a reliable choice where precise pressure readings are required. The thermoplastic case resists corrosion in typical mechanical room environments, while brass wetted parts provide compatibility with water, air, and many common process media. The lower-mount NPT connection allows direct in-line or manifold installation. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters are the typical installers for this class of gauge.
The AMETEK 132509 is suited for residential and light commercial mechanical systems including hydronic heating loops, domestic water supply lines, compressed air headers, and chilled water circuits. The 6-inch dial improves readability at a distance, which is useful in boiler rooms and equipment spaces where gauges are mounted at height or behind other components. The lower-mount configuration positions the connection at the bottom of the case for vertical riser or tee installations. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before removing any existing gauge or fitting the new one. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads — do not overtighten, as thermoplastic-case gauges can crack if excessive torque is applied to the case body. After pressurizing, inspect the connection for leaks before returning the system to service.
