The AMERICAN STANDARD ASD-JBS-12D24AC-WH is a 12-inch LED square recessed mini panel designed for flush ceiling installation in residential and light commercial spaces. This fixture features CCT selectability, allowing the installer to switch between 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K color temperatures via an onboard selector switch. It carries a CRI of 90 or above, producing accurate, consistent light output across the full 120-degree beam angle. The low-profile design requires only 2 inches of ceiling depth, making it practical for tight ceiling assemblies. Smooth dimming from 10 percent to 100 percent is supported with compatible modern LED dimmers.
This panel is suited for residential rooms including family rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and corridors, as well as commercial common areas. The wet location rating makes it appropriate for bathrooms, laundry rooms, covered patios, and other spaces with humidity exposure. It can serve as primary or supplemental lighting alongside an existing ceiling fixture. The fixture ships as a complete kit including the J-box, eliminating the need for a separate housing or recessed can. Spring-loaded clips secure the panel flush to the ceiling surface after cutout and wiring.
Designed as a self-contained recessed LED panel replacement or new installation fixture for standard J-box ceiling assemblies requiring a 12-inch square cutout with a minimum of 2 inches of ceiling plenum clearance.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. Power must be shut off at the breaker serving the circuit before cutting the ceiling template or making any wiring connections. Connect the J-box leads to the supply wiring at the ceiling, then press the panel into the cutout until the spring-loaded clips engage the ceiling surface. No separate recessed can or housing is required due to the IC-rated design; verify local code acceptance of IC-rated canless fixtures before installation.
