The AMERICAN STANDARD 2887.516.020 is a two-piece, dual flush elongated toilet from the H2Option series, finished in White. It offers a choice between a 1.0 GPF liquid-waste flush and a 1.6 GPF solid-waste flush, giving plumbing professionals and building owners a straightforward path to water conservation without sacrificing performance. The elongated bowl design is standard in residential and light commercial applications and pairs here with an included liner. This unit carries WaterSense compliance, meeting EPA efficiency thresholds for low-consumption fixtures. Installation falls within the scope of a licensed plumber or qualified plumbing contractor.
This toilet is suited for residential bathrooms and light commercial restroom buildouts where dual flush capability and WaterSense compliance are project requirements. The elongated bowl configuration fits standard rough-in conditions common in North American construction. The combo packaging includes the tank, bowl, and liner, reducing the number of separately sourced components on the job. Note that this model is discontinued by the manufacturer and has been replaced by part number 2887518.020.
This unit is from the H2Option series by AMERICAN STANDARD and has been superseded by manufacturer part number 2887518.020. It is intended as a complete two-piece toilet installation for standard elongated rough-in applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and flush the existing toilet to drain the tank and bowl before beginning removal of any existing fixture. Verify rough-in dimensions and floor flange condition before setting the new bowl. Do not overtighten closet bolts or tank-to-bowl hardware, as the vitreous china can crack under excessive torque.
