This padlock is well suited for lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures on electrical panels, HVAC equipment, valves, and other energy-isolation points. Installation requires no special tools beyond verifying the hasp or lockout device accepts a 0.4375-inch shackle diameter. Before installing on energy-isolation points, confirm compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 lockout/tagout requirements and your facility or jobsite energy-control program. Do not force the shackle into an undersized hasp, as this can deform the locking mechanism. Verify keyed-alike series matching before deploying multiple units in a single LOTO program.
