The AMERICAN GRANBY 961225 is a 190-gallon double wall heating oil storage tank designed for residential and light commercial fuel oil systems. The primary tank is constructed from blow-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with fluorination treatment to control oil odors. The secondary containment shell is fabricated from tightly welded galvanized steel, providing a fully integrated spill containment structure. Connection fittings are cast aluminum for torque resistance and peripheral sealing. A built-in visual leak indicator allows ongoing monitoring of primary tank integrity. This tank ships with accessories included and carries a 30-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects and internal corrosion.
The 961225 is suited for indoor and outdoor fuel oil storage installations in residential heating applications. Overall dimensions are 44 inches length by 28 inches width by 48 inches height, making it compatible with standard basement, garage, and utility room placements. The tank comes ready for connection with burner oil supply openings sized at 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch. Licensed oil burner technicians and fuel oil service professionals are the primary installers for this unit.
Designed as an OEM-style double wall oil tank for residential and light commercial fuel oil heating systems with standard 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch burner supply connections.
Installation must be performed by a licensed oil burner technician or qualified fuel oil service professional in accordance with applicable local, state, and NFPA 31 codes governing fuel oil storage and piping. Shut off all fuel supply lines and confirm tank area is free of ignition sources before beginning installation. Do not overtighten cast aluminum fittings; follow the fitting manufacturer torque guidance. Verify secondary containment clearances and ventilation requirements with the authority having jurisdiction before placing the tank in service.
