The AMANA DHP154J35BA is a 42-inch packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) with a heat pump and electric backup heat, designed exclusively for commercial applications in buildings wired for 265/277-volt service. It delivers 14,700 BTU of cooling capacity at an EER of 9.6 and 13,300 BTU of heat pump heating capacity. A 3.5 kW electric heat strip provides approximately 10,900 BTU of backup electric heat when the heat pump cannot meet the load or if the compressor fails. The unit uses R32 refrigerant, which carries a lower Global Warming Potential than R410A. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and service on commercial PTAC systems of this type.

The DHP154J35BA is intended for commercial installations such as hotels, motels, assisted living facilities, and multi-unit residential buildings that carry 265/277-volt electrical service. It fits a standard 42-inch PTAC sleeve with an opening of 42.25 inches wide by 16.25 inches high. New installations require a compatible sleeve and rear grille, which are sold separately. The unit can be operated from its onboard controls or via a wired wall thermostat. Front Desk Control configuration is supported, allowing property managers to set minimum and maximum temperature limits while permitting guests to select within that range.
