The ALTRONIX CORP MAXIMAL3D is an access control power supply designed to distribute low-voltage DC power across multiple protected outputs. It delivers 6 amps of output current at either 12 VDC or 24 VDC, making it suitable for powering access control panels, electric locks, request-to-exit devices, and related peripherals. The unit provides 16 PTC-protected outputs, which means each output circuit is individually protected by a resettable polymeric positive temperature coefficient overcurrent device. This design eliminates the need for manual fuse replacement after a fault and helps protect connected equipment from damage due to short circuits or overloads. Licensed security technicians and low-voltage electricians are the typical installers for this class of equipment.
This power supply is intended for use in commercial and light industrial access control installations where multiple door controllers, mag-locks, or alarm devices must be powered from a single centralized source. The 16 individual PTC outputs allow a single MAXIMAL3D to serve multiple zones or devices simultaneously, simplifying wiring runs and reducing the number of discrete power supplies needed on a project. It is sold as a single unit per order.
Designed as an OEM-style power supply for commercial access control systems requiring distributed 12 VDC or 24 VDC power across multiple low-voltage output circuits.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or electrician in accordance with applicable NEC low-voltage wiring requirements and local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) guidelines. Disconnect all power to the system before connecting or disconnecting load devices from the output terminals. Verify the selected output voltage matches the voltage requirements of all connected devices before energizing. Do not exceed the 6-amp total output rating across all active PTC circuits simultaneously.
