The ALTRONIX CORP AL400PD4CB220 is an access control power supply designed to deliver regulated DC output at either 12 volts at 4 amps or 24 volts at 3 amps. It accepts a 220-volt AC input and provides four PTC-protected outputs, making it suitable for powering access control panels, door hardware, and related low-voltage security devices. Licensed security and low-voltage electricians install this unit as a centralized power source within access control systems where circuit-level overcurrent protection is required at each output.
This power supply is intended for commercial and light industrial access control installations where multiple output branches must be individually protected. The four PTC (polymeric positive temperature coefficient) outputs allow each connected device or circuit to be protected without requiring manual fuse replacement after an overcurrent event. It is well suited for installations that require 220-volt AC input, common in international deployments or facilities wired to that standard.
Designed as an OEM-style power supply for access control systems requiring 12-volt or 24-volt DC regulated output with individual PTC-protected output branches.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for access control and security power supply wiring. Disconnect and lock out the 220-volt AC source before making any wiring connections to the unit. Verify that the output voltage selection matches the voltage requirements of all connected devices before energizing. Do not exceed the rated amperage on any individual output branch.
